Funded: To be eligible, you must meet the following criteria (Through Skills Victoria)
1.
If you are under 20 years of age you must be an Australian Citizen/Permanent Resident - if so you qualify.
2.If you are over 20 years old you must not hold a qualification Diploma or above level eg. Advanced Diploma or Degreeand you have to be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident. If you do not have a qualification above a Diploma, you qualify. If you do have higher qualifications you can still do the course but it would be fee-for-service.

Mixed mode - part time
Entry Requirement - Must be an RN Div 2 registered and medication endorsed.

FACTS provides Competency Based Training (CBT) which means that each unit is assessed independently of the others. There are several units all together to form the Diploma of Nursing (Enrolled/Division 2).

Forms of Assessment.
Each unit is separate but very closely related to each other, and together they form the Diploma of Nursing (Enrolled/Division 2). All the units are assessed through workbooks, multiple choice, class attendance, group work and clinical placement.

Pathways
Once you have completed the Diploma of Nursing (Enrolled/Division 2) you can then consider whether you want to go on to the Advanced Diploma of Nursing (Enrolled/Division 2), or you can go on to enroll into university and gain a degree in Nursing.

What does the course involve?
This course provides the learner with the basic knowledge and skills required to perform as a Enrolled/Division 2 Nurse in all health industries and outlets.

Length of course.
The course is to completed in 6-8 months. There is a workbook for each unit of competency which will assist your understanding.

Payment Plan.
At FACTS we are able to offer the participant a flexible payment plan. The course can only be paid off over 10 monthly payments.

HLTEN504A – Implement and evacuate a plan of nursing care
HLTEN506A – Apply principles of wound management in the clinical environment
HLTEN508A – Apply reflective practice, critical thinking and analysis in health
HLTEN510A – Implement and monitor nursing care for consumers with mental health conditions
HLTEN512A – Implement and monitor nursing care for clients with acute health problems
HLTEN515A – Implement and monitor nursing care for older clients
HLTEN516A – Apply understanding of the Australian Health care system
HLTOHS400A – Maintain OHS processes
HLTIN403B – Implement and monitor infection control policy and procedures
HLTEN519A – Administer and monitor intravenous medication in the nursing environment
HLTEN514A – Apply research skills within a contemporary health enviroment
HLTEN511A – Provide nursing care for clients requiring palliative care

Completion of the course.
On successful completion of this course each participant will receive a Diploma of Nursing (Enrolled/Division 2)

How do I enroll?
All applicants who wish to enroll in the Diploma of Nursing (Enrolled/Division 2) must contact Sharon at FACTS on (03) 52 486055 and ask for a brochure to be sent out. You can also come out to FACTS which is located at 61 Leather Street Breakwater 3219 Geelong and pick up a brochure and fill it out there and then. If you received a brochure in the mail, then, once you have filled out the ‘sign me up now form’ send it back to FACTS at the above address.

What Happens Next?
Once FACTS receives your ‘sign me up now form’, and we will then send you out a letter as to your enrollment
