| Description - |
The Certificate III in Health Service
Assistance (Client/Patient Services) may open many doors for you
in the health industry. It enables you to become a competent member
of a team within the hospital field.
This qualification covers workers who provide
assistance to health professional staff. The care assistance tasks are performed under supervision
and may include cleaning duties, food service duties and Nursing Attendant
duties.
Common occupational titles may include wards person,
orderly, patient service assistant + PSA.
These workers may also undertake additional
tasks that may include cleaning, porter, waste handling and serving
clients/patients with meals.
Once you acquire the listed skills and the course
is complete and you have been deemed competent in all units, you
may apply for work within a hospital, that may range from domestic
work through to food services to nursing assistant.
All graduates successfully completing the course will be presented
with a Nationally Recognised Certificate III in Health Service
Assistance.

| Assessment - |
1. Self-paced distance learning via
workbooks.
2. Two days on-campus for theory and two on-campus workshop days.
Negotiable times you will be advised in advance..
3. Clinical
placement of two weeks to consolidate your theory and complete a
clinical placement workbook.
This course is done off-campus which means you don't come into class, but you will need to attend 4 days only on campus this will be for food handlind and first aid.

The Certificate III in Health Service Assistance
(Client/Patient Services) is offered in the off-campus
mode. |

The cost of the course is $1200.00 and your text books are $100.00.

| 3 |
There will be 2 work booklets that you will be required to
work through (in your own time) to compete the theory component of the course. |
| 4 |
The booklets will be sent to you one at a time. When first
booklet is completed by you, send it back to us with a cheque
or money order for $400.00. We then correct it and if it is
deemed competent, we will then send the next booklet out to
you. |

If there is a "not yet competent" issue with either
booklet, there will be a letter of explanation that requires amending. |

You will need to provide a photocopy of a level 2 first aid,
certified true copy, to FACTS prior to the certificate being
given. If you already hold this qualification. |

The course is paid in 3 instalments of $400.00. Once FACTS has received
your first payment, it is deemed the course has commenced. Off
campus participants have 5 working days to withdraw to receive
a full refund less $150.00 for Administrative and withdrawal
fees. |

You will be expected to attend 2 days in class and 2 days
for a workshop, in Geelong. |
| 9 |
The course can take anywhere between 2 months and 12 months
to complete. It is totally up to you, the student, as to your
finishing date. |

Payment system – if you wish to do this course please
follow the ENROL link below, then forward your payment of $695.00,
this is your first payment and your text. If you have bought
your text already then please minus $100.00 off total price.
Post it back to FACTS and you will receive the booklet within
