The trainer or facilitator has many years experience in the industry along with teaching and learning. FACTS provides Competency Based Training (CBT) which means that each unit is assessed independently of the others. There are 15 units all together to form the Certificate IV in Leisure & Health.
Forms of Assessment.
Each unit is separate but very closely related to each other, and together they form the Certificate IV in Leisure & Health. One unit may be assessed by classroom group discussion, multiple choice and short answer questions. Another unit may be assessed by an essay, group presentation and scenarios and yet another unit may be assessed by viewing a video, group discussion and workbook. So you can see that all assessments whether big or small are an important part of your learning. Also the student is able to apply for reassessment if you were not able to reach competency on the 1 st assessment.
