Career Opportunities.
The Complex care unit will provide you with a unit that is required to enter the Diploma of Nursing (Enrolled/Division 2 nursing). Graduates of this course can look forward to performing many skills such as venepunture, catheterization, ECG's and insert nasogastric tubes.

Why FACTS?
(FACTS) provides up to date information about courses and course content. FACTS allows the students to learn at a pace that is conducive to them. The trainer or facilitator has many years experience in the industry along with teaching and learning. FACTS provides Competency Based Training (CBT) which includes the principles of adult learning.

Forms of Assessment.
This unit is assessed by the following Workbook 20%, Attendance and participation in class 10%, Laboratory 20%, Test 40% and 1 week clinical placement 10%.

Pathways
Once you have completed the unit HLTEN505A - Contribute to the complex nursing care of clients you can then consider whether you want to go on to the Diploma of Nursing (Enrolled/Division 2 nursing) or enroll into the HLTEN519A – Administer and monitor intravenous medication in the work environment as a stand alone unit.

What does the course involve?
This course provides the learner with the basic knowledge and skills required to perform clinical skills such as taking blood, performing ECG's, catheterization and inserting nasogastric tubes.

Length of course.
The unit HLTEN505A – Contribute to the complex care of clients is delivered on campus, every Saturday from 9-3.30pm over a 10 week period. There is a one week (38)hr clinical placement at the end of the course. You may have to travel to either Ballarat or Warrnambool.

Payment Plan.
At FACTS we are able to offer the participant a flexible payment plan. On enrolment you pay $1350.00, this is $850.00 of your course fee, your books and enrollment fee. On the 18th of the next 2 months you pay $500.00. The unit is then paid off.

Completion of the course.
On successful completion of this course each participant will receive a Statement of Attainment.

How do I enroll?
All applicants who wish to enroll into this unit must contact Sharon or Carol at F.A.C.T.S. on (03) 52 486055 and ask for a brochure to be sent out. You can also come out to FACTS which is located at 61 Leather Street Breakwater 3219 Geelong . And pick up a brochure and fill it out there and then. If you received a brochure in the mail, then, once you have filled out the ‘sign me up now form', send it back to F.A.C.T.S. at the above address.

What Happens Next?
Once F.A.C.T.S. receives your ‘sign me up now form' and we will then send you out a letter as to when the proper enrolment will be.
